Preparation for the corporate sector
Avans University of Applied Sciences has three campuses: in Breda, ’s-Hertogenbosch and Tilburg. You can follow the study programme of your choice at one of these sites. The learning system at Avans is Project-Based Learning, which involves both practice and competency-based education. This way of studying is designed to give you the knowledge, skills and attitude to apply the lessons learned in real life situations.
Together with other students you will work to solve various practice based problems. This is a very dynamic and challenging learning process. On graduation you will gain a bachelor’s degree and will be well prepared for the international labour market.
First you are taught the theory, and you then work together with a small group of fellow students on various practice-based assignments. This method really brings the subject matter to life: you understand what you are doing and, most importantly, you undergo excellent preparation for a job in the corporate sector.
A work placement is another great way to prepare yourself for the world of work. Each student carries out two work placements. Avans University of Applied Sciences has excellent links with both the national and international business community. Our students regularly spend time taking part in work placements at international companies around the world, helping them to take the first steps in their careers.
