Cross-cultural Management and Languages (IBMS Major)

Cross-cultural Management and Languages (CML) is a major within International Business and Management Studies (IBMS) that prepares students for a career in international profit, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) as well as governmental institutions such as those that form part of the EU and national governments. The course covers topics in the field of international management and communications, international law and cross-cultural relationships. In addition, CML students will be taught in English and in two other languages (French, German, Spanish, Italian and/or Chinese).

You must complete a work placement in the second semester of the second year. This placement will preferably be carried out in a country where the native language is the same as one of the languages you have chosen. The final semester of year 4 consists of a graduation assignment for a company or NGO, during which you must demonstrate that you are able to perform at an appropriate level within an international environment.
